Reach, Restore & Build (RRB)

Recovery Housing & Life Stabilization Program

A structured pathway from crisis to lasting independence.

At Street Reach of Johnston County, we believe lasting change requires more than simply providing a place to stay. People rebuild their lives when they have stable housing, meaningful relationships, accountability, recovery support, and opportunities to grow.

Reach, Restore & Build (RRB) is our long-term recovery housing and life stabilization program designed for adults who are committed to making lasting life changes. RRB provides a structured environment where participants can focus on recovery, develop healthy routines, gain employment, build life skills, and prepare for independent living.

Unlike emergency housing programs, RRB is not designed to provide temporary shelter. It is a comprehensive program that combines housing with individualized support, clear expectations, and a personalized plan to help each participant move toward long-term stability.

The Three Phases of RRB

Reach

The journey begins with stabilization. Participants build relationships with Street Reach through our Community Resource & Stabilization Center before entering the program. Once accepted, they receive safe housing, complete assessments, establish goals, and begin developing healthy routines.

Restore

Participants focus on personal growth through recovery support, employment, life skills, mentoring, financial responsibility, and community involvement. Accountability and consistency help create lasting change while participants work toward greater independence.

Build

As participants achieve stability, they transition toward self-sufficiency. This phase emphasizes financial independence, long-term housing stability, continued recovery, and developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive independently.

What Participants Receive

Participants accepted into RRB receive access to:

  • Stable recovery housing

  • Individual recovery support

  • Personalized success planning

  • Employment assistance

  • Life skills education

  • Transportation assistance

  • Community resource navigation

  • Mentoring and encouragement

  • A supportive community focused on long-term success

What Participants Commit To

Success in RRB requires commitment. Participants agree to:

  • Actively pursue recovery

  • Follow program guidelines

  • Maintain employment or actively seek employment

  • Participate in required classes and meetings

  • Practice personal responsibility and accountability

  • Demonstrate respect for others

  • Remain substance-free as required by the program

  • Work toward financial and personal independence

Is RRB Right for You?

RRB is designed for adults who are ready to make lasting changes in their lives. While we recognize that recovery is a journey, this program is intended for individuals who are willing to embrace accountability, actively participate in their own growth, and commit to building a healthier future.

Because strong relationships are the foundation of success, participation in RRB begins by engaging with Street Reach through our Community Resource & Stabilization Center. This allows our team and prospective participants to get to know one another before determining whether RRB is the right next step.

More Than Housing

Housing alone rarely changes a life. Real transformation happens when stable housing is combined with recovery, employment, life skills, accountability, and a community that believes every person has value.

Reach, Restore & Build exists to help adults move from crisis to lasting independence—one step, one relationship, and one restored life at a time.
